Dr. Işıl Günseli Kaçar

Dr. Işıl Günseli Kaçar is an English instructor at the Department of Foreign Language Education at Middle East Technical University (METU) in Turkey. She is interested in pre-service language teacher education, pre-service teacher identity, English as a Lingua Franca, flipped instruction, mentoring, the integration of technologies into English language teaching, telecollaboration, and teaching writing. She worked as a tutor at the academic writing center at METU previously. She is currently coordinating a number of national and international research projects on pre-service teacher education and e-mentoring.

Hasan Şerif Baltacı

Hasan Şerif Baltacı graduated from the Department of English Language Teaching at Middle East Technical University in 2016, he is currently working as an instructor of English and testing unit member at the School of Foreign Languages at Baskent University. Besides teaching English to different groups of students at various levels, he has been writing and editing English Course books for different levels and purposes. He got his M.A. in English Language Teaching at METU in 2019. He is currently pursuing PhD in Curriculum and Instruction at METU. His main interests are teacher education, ELT methodology, ICT, technology integration, academic writing, teacher identity, organizational citizenship behaviors and critical pedagogy.

Esra Karakuş

Esra Karakuş is currently working as a research assistant at the Department of Foreign Language Education at Middle East Technical University. She completed her bachelor’s degree at the aforementioned department in 2013. She also got her master’s degree in English Language Teaching at METU in 2018. She is still pursuing a PhD degree in Language Education Studies at METU. Her research interests include EFL pre-service teacher education, EFL classroom discourse, and material development for language teaching.

Zeynep Aysan-Şahintaş

Zeynep Aysan-Şahintaş is a PhD candidate and currently working as a research assistant at Foreign Language Education Department at Middle East Technical University. Before working as a research assistant, she also worked as an instructor of English at tertiary level for three years. She has conducted several research studies and attended conferences on teacher education and multilingualism. Moreover, she is also working as a teaching assistant for various courses offered at the department.

Melek Altun

Melek Altun graduated from the Department of English Language Teaching at Middle East Technical University in 2011 and she is currently working as an instructor of English at Middle East Technical University Modern Languages Department. She also worked in Bilkent University School of English Language for 7 years. She completed CELTA, ICELT, and DELTA while working there and was given the Distinguished Teacher of the Year Award in 2016. Then, she worked in Ankara METU Development Foundation Private Schools – Primary School, where she was also a testing unit member, for 1 year. She is currently pursuing MA in English Language Teaching at Gazi University. Her main interests involve teacher training and mentoring, testing and material development, teaching English for academic purposes, academic writing, NLP, and learning advisory.
